Upgraded to PM2010 - now some items corrupted

Postby thistleback » Wed Feb 10, 2010 3:18 pm

Hi!

I just upgraded from Password Memory 2009 to the latest 2010. When I opened my database, about 20 of my 144 items are unusable. The username in one item is 蛟횷咁䉮ﻕ獱ټ䇧舷褁㽀ꃝ (it displays mostly blank squares, with the 5th and 7th character as shown here.) This particular item did not originally have a username in the object - only a password.

I did make a copy of my database before the upgrade. Can I download PM2009 from somewhere and attempt to open my backup copy?

If you try restore your backup, does the same thing happen again? (sounds like something went wrong in the upgrade)

I upgraded too and I have exactly the same problem as Thistleback in the user name field for a few entries. Seems like something to do with the international codepages, maybe ??
I tried to restore a backup from 6 february and the same thing happens for the same entries.

Tried reproducing this issue here without any luck. I will take another look at it and see if I can find anything that might cause this.
